Hey I have two problems that I like to report that is really bugging me really bad.

1. Can you move Alan Marshall (III)'s film awards to Alan Marshall (IV)'s film awards? Because you got the wrong Alan Marshall nominated for an Oscar for Midnight Express and all those film awards in Alan Marshall (III)'s awards section should belong to the award section of Alan Marshall (IV), why? Because Alan Marshall (III) is an actor while Alan Marshall (IV) is a film producer.

2. My edit submissions to now movie connections are not coming up fast as I want them like I use to and I want to know what is going on with the people who submit my edits. Where the old ones fired or somewhere else and replace by new ones and that is why my edits are coming mega slow and not like they use to. Also my submission for Back to the Future II (http://www.imdb.com/updates/update?load=150601-202407-838000) is kind of right because if you go to the company credits they is a credit for the company that distributes The Oprah Winfrey Show. I really need to know if I did something bad on the site that is not allowing to have my edits come fast like they use to or are the old workers of my edits being replace by newbies.

Alex: For the movie connections, can you please post the full text of your data submission here? You can copy it out of the e-mail you would have received from IMDb immediately after you submitted it. This way, the regulars can advise you whether your submission should have been accepted already or whether it looks like there is a problem. (We probably won't be able to tell you whether there has been a personnel change at IMDb, though.)

Regarding the two Alan Marshalls, I will provide you with instructions on how to fix those awards later, unless someone else here gets around to it first.

The connection for Back to the Future Part II featuring "The Oprah Winfrey Show" looks like it was submitted correctly. I don't see a problem. Did you first submit it before May 26? The Connections section is backlogged to that date -- see http://www.imdb.com/czone/times.

Here is how to correct the awards from one Alan Marshall to the other one. Each award will have to be corrected separately. And for each one, one will have to correct it by deleting the existing award entry and adding a correct award entry; a simple "Correct" won't work for this.

Go to the page for one of the award events in the year of the nomination, such as http://www.imdb.com/event/ev0000003/1979. Click "Edit page".

On the next screen, on the Wins & Nominations line, select "Correct/Delete". Click "Continue".

On the next screen, find the nomination entry for Alan Marshall (III), and select "Delete" in the drop-down menu to the left. Then scroll down to near the end of the page. Below the last award entry, there will be a gray bar labeled "Add" and a drop-down menu to the right. In that menu, select "1 Win/Nomination". Click "Check these updates".

On the next screen, find the entry you are deleting. You will need to provide an explanation. The explanation should be something like "The wrong Alan Marshall has been credited with this nomination. This film was produced by Alan Marshall (IV), not Alan Marshall (III), as indicated in their respective filmographies. I am also submitting an Add for the correct entry in this same submission."

Then scroll down to near the end of the page, where there will be a New #1 entry to add the correct entry. For Award, select "Oscar" from the list. Leave the year as is. For Category, click the  icon and then select "Best Picture" from the list. For Rank, choose "Nomination (nom)".

Choose 1 for Number of titles and 2 for Number of recipients. Skip the Number of companies and the Supplementary info. For the Comments, enter "The wrong Alan Marshall has been credited with this nomination. This film was produced by Alan Marshall (IV), not Alan Marshall (III), as indicated in their respective filmographies. I am also submitting an Delete for the incorrect entry in this same submission." Click "Re-check these updates".

On the next screen, the entry you are deleting should be shown with a green background. Go to the entry you are adding, which will have a red background. For Title #1, enter "Midnight Express (1978)". For Recipient #1, enter "Marshall, Alan (IV)", and for Recipient #2, enter "Puttnam, David". Leave all the attributes blank. Click "Re-check these updates".

On the next screen, the entry you are adding should appear with a green background, and you should be able to click "Submit these updates".

Follow a similar procedure to delete-and-add the other award entries listed under Alan Marshall (III).

    Good luck!
