I need to know the title of a movie about a murder during the war of the worlds broadcast

Title says it all. I think it was a fairly recent movie. Maybe it came out in the last 5 years or so.

Googling your subject reveals there is a novel (fiction!) about that:
The War of the Worlds Murder (Disaster): Max Allan Collins ...
hardcover has a 2005 date
but I don't see a film on the author's IMDb page:

None of the Amazon reviewers mention a movie/film from this novel.
All of which may mean this is just the wrong book.

The Tom Cruise film of the HG Wells novel was the same year:
