I need to remove myself from several films I worked on because of subject matter. The films were not adult films but adult themed, specifically LGBTQ themes. Although I fully support the rights of the LGBTQ community, the films may be problematic for me where I'm going to move to soon.
IMDB hasn't responded to my request/edits or contacted me regarding the edits. Should I contact an attorney?

Hi,
the credits appearing on screen on a program are considered as public information. So IMDb will not remove it. And I do not think that any attorney or lawyer will find a way to prove it otherwise.
But a Champion or an IMDb staff should answer you more precisely soon.

It's wrong to not allow someone to remove themselves from a credit when they can be discriminated against, harassed or hurt because of it.

Mondo: While you can't remove your past credits, I wonder if your concern stems primarily from the "Known For" titles on your page which have their posters prominently displayed on your name page.
If you subscribe to IMDbPro, you will have the ability to change your "Known For" credits as explained at https://help.imdb.com/article/imdbpro/membership-benefits/pro-tips-for-talent/GHQ5W5C2BJ2KWP77# and https://help.imdb.com/article/imdbpro/new-features/how-can-i-control-my-known-for-credits/GH8XTYSWKU...#. You would then be able to select which films from among your credits should have their posters displayed on your name page (between 1 and 4 of them).
I don't work for IMDb and I have no personal interest in whether you pay for an IMDbPro subscription or not. I am just letting you know that this is an option.

Thanks so much, Gromit. You are correct, the "known for" titles on my page just happen to be the ones that are potential problems for me, although they are fine films made by very fine folk, but who cares if its art when it looks like porn... first impressions.
I'm thankful you responded to my post because now I know I can at least select what to show first on my page if I subscribe, hopefully minimizing potential discrimination in doing so. Now I have to decide which action, slasher, or creature features to display first. lol.
If only the world was more inclusive and less judgemental. *sigh* Cheers.
