Please submit "????" for in-development projects
2019 is too far our for anything other than a major studio release so please use "????" for the year.

2019 is only 13 months away. Shouldn't that be acceptable as I imagine that a flood of 2019 releases should be submitted in the near future.

No, unless a specific release date is booked (which usually means a major release) contributors should always use ???? for future releases beyond the current calendar year (and sometimes even within it).  It just causes problems later if/when the project slips.
