I was watching a movie on Netflix the other night and recognized Julianne Hough from another movie. I wanted to find out what movie that was and when I went to look at her profile it downloaded her profile to my computer (without me asking it to). After that I can not use my computer to type. All it does when I type is use symbols. When I shut it down and turned it back on a new screen came up.

I have a mac and they don't normally get virus's so it must have been a bad one. I've never had one before.

What do you mean "it downloaded her profile to my computer"? You mean it automatically saved the page as html file on a folder on your computer?

I kind of doubt that the IMDb page is to blame for the virus, if that's what it is. To infect a specific name page with a virus is next to impossible; if anything it had to be in the main code of IMDb, and if that was the case you'd be reading about it in the news... It's certainly a strange case getting a virus on a Mac,though. You should try to download and install an antivirus program for your Mac, and do a proper scan, if you suspect a virus.

Keyboard keys sometimes get stuck, by the way, and when that happens strange behavior can occur, depending on what key gets stuck. If a system key gets stuck, hitting other keys will act as though you clicked the system key plus the other one, and there are often a lot of different keyboard shortcuts (that many don't even know about) that can get activated that way. At work, the Windows key sometimes get stuck, and when that happens various windows will appear or disappear, depending on the keys I press. I'm not saying that's what happened here, but it may not have been a virus. Especially if the computer has worked fine after a boot. Still, do a virus search to be on the safe side.
