I haven't added anything since 2001, and now I've been trying to add a new credit, I've waited for over a month, nothing, I tried it again, nothing, I asked my agent to do it... nothing. What's going on?! How do I add a new credit, to my name?! and in a timely manner. (there is someone else with my same name- I checked and it didn't go to her either- This is for Grand Theft Auto V and I am credited on it.

Try to raise a Data Verification Case (http://www.imdb.com/helpdesk/data_ver...) using the latest Update Reference Number you have, adding a screenshot of the credit and other sources/explanations if applicable. The problem might be that the screeners are unable to verify the credit, and need more data.

You can also post the latest Update Reference Number here, so that the staff can take a closer look at what's going on with it.

The last update reference number I got is 131003-205626-102000 - I don't have the game so I can't take a pic of the credit. I personally called Rockstar to check and verify that I am properly credited. They confirmed it.

Two ways of getting your hands on a screenshot:

* Ask Rockstar to email it to you.

* Post a message on the games forum on IMDB, asking if anyone can help you out.

Expert contributor MayorDefacto contacts me about this:

Regarding Ms Balfour's credit in Grand Theft Auto V (2013), it can be found at the end of the fifth line from the bottom of this screencap, i.imgur.com/mE7qMPd.jpg. It's a bit hard to read. A more visible, if somewhat less authoritative option might be this German language Wiki page, http://de.gta.wikia.com/wiki/Credits_%28V%29?action=edit&section=3 53. The names (both places) are in alpha order by first name within sections.

There may also be a question of where to enter this credit. People credited as extras are generally slotted in Miscellaneous (Other) Crew instead of Cast, see this thread, imdb.com/board/bd0000042/nest/126697607, particularly the response at the end from then Head of IMDB Data Acquisition where he states unequivocably

Extras go in Other Crew, not Cast.

Looking at the screencap we see 114 names with character names immediately under the heading "The Cast". Then are listed the stunt coordinator, stunt performers and motion capture artists, before a list of 638 (give or take) names under the heading "Local Population". Following this (not included in the screencap) is an additional section of almost as many names under the heading "Faces of Los Santos" and finally 14 more names listed under "Pedestrian banter by".

By my count, Ms Balfour is Local Pop. #478 which would make her order number 478+114= #592 if, and it's a BIG if, these names should be listed with cast. Best guess, the fact that stunt people and motion capture artists divide the "credited with a character name" section of cast from the "grouped under a common heading" sections means these names should be treated as extras and slotted in Other Crew. Job description should be extras: Local Population, and extras: Faces of Los Santos, respectively.

So there you go, it seems you've been adding it into the wrong place - it should go under Other Crew. Even then, as there are hundreds of extra credits, IMDB might not accept it (like the films with hundreds of producer "rewards" from crowdfunding), but at least if you put it in the right section you stand the best chance of get it accepted.

I just saw almost all of the names of people that are in my same category on the game, with a credit on IMDB as "various" voice, yet I don't seem to be able to have that same credit on it... WHY??!!!
I don't understand why this is happening??!!! Who is deciding that I should not be credited on IMDB??!!

The problem is that most of those credits you are using as a precedent for including yours are wrong and need cleaning up.

The way to get yourself listed is the way described in my previous post) and then, hopefully, someone will clear the rest of them up eventually.

It does not matter if they need to be cleaned up or not, they are there, and mine is not... I don't see why.
You said I was an "extra", well I'm not. I am not crew either. I am a voice actress that performed as various characters.

Those credits are in the wrong place, they can't be used as an argument to get your credit included in the wrong place too. Put it in the right place and you should be able to get your credit. It is that simple.

You are in the hundreds of names under the general heading "Local population" which, for the sake of IMDB credits, counts as an "extra" credit. If you have a credit for a named character in the credits, you could get into the cast.

You can see the difference in the screenshot supplied earlier:

You get the cast list, then the crew list starts with the stunt coordinator, then the other people involved in stunt work and then the extras credits.
