I do not wish to have a profile on imdb as I am not an actor. I want to delete this as this has a high google ranking and I am on a job search. Thanks for your help!

Usually people with no other credits to their name aren't given IMDb pages for uncredited work, and if that's the case you might succeed in deleting the credit and name page. If you were credited in the movie credits you will probably have a hard time doing so, since they seek to keep the credit lists as accurate as possible, and match onscreen credits.
If it is an uncredited part, and it is the only credit on your IMDb page, you can try this; go to the move page in which you were an extra and click on the Edit Page button at the bottom. Select Cast and choose "Correct/Delete", and then click Continue at the bottom. Find your credit on the credit list and select Delete in the drop-down box. In the next step you must provide an explanation for the deletion.
You better be sure you want to do this, though, because if you delete it now you won't be able to add it back later, if it is an uncredited part, as the current rules doesn't consider one uncredited part eligible for an IMDb page. I'm sure many people would give their right thumb for an IMDb page, showing they have been in a movie... Just saying. ;)
In any case, good luck with your job hunt!

Thanks for your reply! It is credited though, so I probably can't delete it? I was only an extra though, that's why it is weird to me to have an imbd page :)

If you were on the credits and the title is eligible for inclusion, then you have to be in the database.
I suppose the only solution is to embrace it or ignore it, I can't imagine appearing in a film when you were young will have any impact (it could always be a talking point, if anyone checked) but, unless you have a unique name you could always just deny it.
