Ikarie Xb 1 is an important Czech science fiction film, recently released by Second Run in its original form. Ikarie XB 1 was completely re-cut for the American market, was dubbed into English, underwent significant changes to the storyline and was given a completely different ending.
I would like to be able to rate and discuss Ikarie XB 1 without my vote and comments being taken as being about Voyage to the End of the Universe

The cast and credit of the film as listed on our site refer to the original version. The existence of a re-edited american version is documented here:

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0122111/a...

However, there's not enough to justify creating a separate listing for the US cut -- this wasn't shot in two separate versions or modified to an extent that warrants a separate title page. Re-edited versions were not unusual at the time, and this is a situation similar to Nebo zoyot/Battle Beyond the Sun (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0053103/)

Could I suggest in that case that you reverse the IMDB entry making Ikarie XB 1 the main title and Voyage to the End of the Universe the subtitle?

There is no title and subtitle. Your account is set to display, perhaps, the US English version, rather than "Original" title, so that's what you see. Mine is currently set to display "Original" titles, so I see "Ikarie XB1." So it can't be set to only display one way for all users for just that title. It depends upon each user's preference for display. Both are valid titles.

To set yours to see "Original" titles, hover cursor over your name and choose "account" and change, under "Preferences" then "Update general site preferences" change "Title display country" to "Original."
