PLEASE HELP! My copyrighted material/book content is being listed here on IMDB as a book to film project without my permission. How can I get IMDB to remove this listing? I have sent numerous cease and desist emails and letters to the company listed ,( PlanetMuzickMedia) (Tiffany Sturdivant), however this listing still remains.https://www.imdb.com/title/tt8505314/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1 I have also found ads from this same company on other sites such as Indie Gogo, Twitter, and Facebook, in which they are solicting people for money for a NON-EXISTENT PROJECT! Having a title listed on IMDb is not infringement of any copyrights.
It's public information taken from the information supplied for the title inclusion.
If there is wrong information, it can be corrected by logging in to a user account and clicking the "edit page" button on the page for that title.
If it's accurate as to content, they won't remove it simply upon request or based on your not wanting it to be seen, though.
No user will be blocked for adding accurate data either.

While you may have a dispute pending in court regarding the copyright issue, IMDb is only listing the facts of the projects existence. Whether or not such existence is as you supposedly claim it to be.

So than, are you saying that its legal to make- up, then list a fictional movie project, based off an authors copy-righted book? There is NO MOVIE PROJECT. IT'S NON-EXISTENT. I've reached out to the cast and crew and all that replied have voiced that this woman has listed their names without their consent. She's also using the FAKE project in ads on other forums soliciting the public for donations. This can't be legal.

It's legality is in question. And that question is between you (plaintiff) and the them (defendant) in a judicial matter. There is no question as to whether the individual is doing what they are doing by listing it here in the database. It is fact. IMDb lists facts. And lastly it is not the job of IMDb to state or determine if it is, to re-quote you, "legal to make- up, then list a fictional movie project, based off an authors copy-righted book". IMDb is just a collection database of facts about Movies and TV. So IMDb has no business addressing your question. It is inappropriate for them to answer a question that they have no knowledge of. IE: Legality. That is between you and the court system. It is a question that cannot be addressed or answered.
