Recently I submitted some alternative posters and behind-the-scene stills for some films. They were all shown approved, but later got rejected! Reason: Unable to verify.

Here are the contribution IDs:

#190607-043608-134202

Any help would be appreciated. :)

Yes, it was abandoned after shooting some scenes. Thus, some stills are available on the internet.

OK, so are you saying we're not allowed to upload images to an abandoned film?

IMDb Image FAQs (link is clickable) explains what images are allowed to contribute. But any of them should pass verification according to the kind of the image.

PS: Anyway, please be patient to wait for an official reply, since you refer to the contribution IDs.

Hi JosephVM,

After reviewing your submissions I can see that the two images for Madrasile Mon included watermarks which is a breach of our policies below:

https://help.imdb.com/article/contribution/images-videos/images-guidelines/G27LPBQZA7EAZGJW?ref_=helpsrall#

Our data editors were unable to verify that the other two images were still frames from Devalokam, please can you provide further information to assist our data editors in verifying the source of the image.

Thanks
Meredith

Thanks for the reply, Meredith.
Here is the source of still frame and behind-the-scene from Devalokam.

Joseph, you keep proving against those images be added as stills, because the above provided link includes:
The film remained incomplete and never saw the light of the day.
Moreover, IMDb can not rely on the blogspots -- they only can be taken into account as a minor additional information.

So, what's required to verify the information?
It's actually the blog of cinematographer Ramachandra Babu. Also, hope you noticed that it's clearly mentioned there it's a still frame from the film Devalokam.

Also, I couldn't find where it is mentioned that we're not allowed to add images to an abandoned film! And there is no space to add explanation while adding images.

Joseph, if you read carefully all the above, there are not any statements alike "not allowed to add images to an abandoned film". But it is explained why those images you tried to submit can not be approved as still frames. Follow the IMDb Image FAQs that allows other variants for such kind of images, but anyway, please do not forget that each of the variants may require its own kind of prove.

But as I said I couldn't find a space to add explanation while adding images! So, how could I provide information to verify them?

I had the same problem (no field for evidential links) when submitting other data, and unfortunately such fields are not inbuilt everywhere but only for a part of submissions. But anyway, in this current case you need no more field because the IMDb staff is in this thread keeping the direct discussion with you:
https://getsatisfaction.com/imdb/topics/image-addition-declined-unable-to-verify?topic-reply-list[se...
At this moment, two of the images were declined because of the watermarks, and for the rest the "editors were unable to verify that the other two images were still frames from Devalokam".

Joseph, if you believe that "the blog of cinematographer Ramachandra Babu" is the one and only existing source to prove those two images are still frames from Devalokam, then please again be patient to wait for the official staff reaction here on this anew provided information.

BTW, in the initial post you mention "behind-the-scene" images, while submitting them as "Still frames" (according to the official reply). Commenting at the beginning, I provided the guide-link describing those are different types to submit.

Hi Joseph V M,

It looks like those were rejected as one contained watermarks and the overall image quality of both is poor and would not display well on the site. If you have any better quality images please feel free to submit them and our data editors will be happy to review.

Regards,
Will
