Hello all,

Just to let you know we've updated the Images Submissions Guide which lists the best way to report a primary image change and to provide more detail on our Image Quality policies. Please see for more information.

Hi, Will.
I'd just like to take this opportunity, since it's (sort of) on-topic (i.e. related to poster/cover images) to yet again suggest a change in your (IMDb's) policy on said topic (poster/cover images).

Instead of writing an entirely new message, I've decided to just post the link to my previous post here:

Anyway, Happy holidays!

What about a policy for changes to primary images of people? This has been a major issue since day one. The link provided does not specify anything in relation to changes to primary images of "people"...most of which are generally either outdated, out of focus or may include more than one person.

Hi vhavnal,

At this moment you have to follow the following steps:

1. Open the primary image.

2. Click on ‘Report This’.

3. In the 'Select a Reason' box choose 'Poor Quality'.

4. In the ‘explanation’ box, please provide the 'rm number' (the image ID) of image you want to become the primary image. This can be found at the end of the url in the address bar when looking at the image in IMDb.

For example, the rm number of this image: is rm487490304.

And write a short message like - "A better primary image - rm487490304" and submit.

Dude, i asked this question like 3 months ago, solution was found soon after and i have gotten a few of the images changed by reporting them (unfortunately they refuse to change for those images which are not in the Top10000 starmeter).
