I want to use an image for an educational article. May I use an image from the Photos section? Are there print-resolution images available?

Sorry, we are not able to grant permission to use photos from our site; images are licensed to us only for use on IMDb and we are not permitted to sublicense them onwards.

Thank you Michelle, sticking to the rules is a great thing. My task is still to get images of Woody Allen and Stanley Kubrick for a magazine article. Would you be able to point to the companies or agents that manage the image and likeness of these two historic directors? I want to make sure the correct permissions are followed, with the utmost respect.

If you want to get in touch with the representatives for both Mr. Allen and Mr. Kubrick, contact details (when available) are only listed on the IMDbPro website, where an IMDbPro Subscription is required.

For more details and a free trial, please see:

Otherwise, if you see an image from another source (e.g. another magazine, website, etc.) you should contact that source directly about licensing their photo content.
