IMDb app on iPad showing Network Error for user reviews and not saving ratings

Everything seems to work fine, until I click the ratings star to view user ratings. The dialog pops up, but stays blank. After a little while a Network Error prompt appears asking to hit ok/retry. Retry doesn't help.

Also, saving my own rating does't work. It says Saving Rating, and after maybe 10 seconds, the notice disappears, leaving the ratings dialog on screen with a grayed out Save button and not having actually saved my rating.

I don't have either of these issues on my Android device on the same wifi network. I have killed and restarted app several times and my timezone and date&time are set correctly.

This started after the last IMDb app update.

Thanks for dumping me, an almost 18 year long IMDb user. You could at least have left the last version for iOS 8 users a working one, ie. fix bugs, publish and only then release a new version no longer supporting iOS 8.


What a seriously crappy way to treat your users.

In fact, version 8.2 was working fine. Version 8.3 supposedly fixes "critical bugs", but it sabotaged the app for me.
