Due to Facebook policy, IMDb will no longer automatically post Watchlist Adds, Ratings, and Check-ins to users Facebook accounts.
Users may continue to share and like movies and people on IMDb and those will be posted to their Facebook account as before

Please read the posts above from staff. This was disabled by Facebook. You're explaining the same problem that has been reported and then responded to by staff, above. You can share links but cannot share your ratings as before.
Your comment has been explained several times above (starting with the first reply of this thread).

Facebook may have missed your friends ratings posts, or they may be queued for future deletion. Regardless, the issue is entirely in Facebook's hands. You should contact them directly via https://www.facebook.com/help/ with any questions or concerns regarding their new posting policy.

The issue relates specifically to Facebook Platform Policy 2.3:
"Words in the user message field must be composed by the user and can’t be pre-filled by the app, even if the user can edit or delete the words."
See platform policy 2.3 here.
A video describing the situation regarding prefilling the message parameter can be found here.

As of today the really nice feature of sharing my IMDb ratings to Facebook no longer works. Nothing shows up on my Facebook page if I rate a movie. I didn't touch any of my settings and my IMDb is still linked to my Facebook account In addition to that my entire history of ratings on my Facebook wall is missing. I've been sharing my movie ratings for the past year so needless to say I am very angry about this. Please look into this and get this fixed.

Usually when I post my ratings via Twitter and facebook, my friends/followers get the usual "I rated XXX 3/10 stars" header.
Now it's completely gone. I am speaking on behalf of the iOS version of IMDB.
Thanks ahead of time to customer support-you guys/gals are always on top of things.

What exactly do mean by "IMDb has stopped posting to Facebook all together". You should still be able to open a facebook share dialog and write your own post. If Facebook has completely eliminated our ability to post, this is news to me.

Thank you for the detailed explanation. A month later but it's okay. I've found the share button far more useful than the automatic post to wall feature. It's actually been fun writing mini reviews.
Doesn't make up for losing more than a years worth of ratings on my wall though. A big fail for both companies there.

I respect not posting to Facebook automatically, even if it doesn't really make sense if I choose to link my accounts, but what I don't understand is not offering to post to Facebook if I WANT to...even if I have to confirm this each and every time....
Posting should be brought back ASAP...especially with GetGlue and TVTag gone... One of the main reasons I would do anything on IMDb was to share it with my FB community as well.

If IMDb can't post automatically anymore, fine, but contacting facebook/help is not a way to solve this.
Since the policy states that the app can't fill the comment on the post automatically, IMDb could create a share button with the pre filled text so we could just confirm. This wouldn't be violating the policy and would solve everyone's problem.
What do you think?
