IMDB refuses to correct our release date (after numerous requests)

I am a film maker with a film which is still in post production, but IMDB lists that it was released almost 9 months ago. IMDB has rejected several appeals from me. By the time the film is completed the release date will be long past. IMDB is seriously compromising our chances to be premiered and screened at certain festivals.

Did you mistakenly add this at the time you created the page for the title? (Jan 1)
Or how was it added?

I added it when the film was in pre-production August 2018. I was under the impression I had to pick a date when creating the page. It was just an optimistic estimate. I had no idea this date was written in stone.
