Would you please tell my why my IMDB trivia submission #190104-054835-269501 was declined? It is accurate, uses links properly, contains no spoilers, and in my opinion, it is interesting. It was displayed on the episode's page shortly after I submitted it yesterday, but today it is gone. The episode has no other trivia. IMDB's "track your contribution" link says only "Reason Not specified   Your contribution has been declined. We did not capture a specific reason during processing."

Thanks in advance for looking into this.

I just now noticed that an additional trivia submission of mine from a few months ago (#181002-032158-129000) was also declined, and also listed as "Reason Not specified". Could you please advise regarding this one as well, or would I have to create a separate topic for that?

Hi MJH,

I have reviewed your submissions and can see that these trivia items contain information that is already listed elsewhere on the site.

Your first contribution is where on title is referencing another, which we already have listed accurately under connections on the title. For more information on movie connections, please refer to the guide below:

The second contribution contains soundtrack information and can be found under the soundtrack section on the title. For more information on soundtracks, please refer to the guide below:

Thanks for that helpful explanation. But then, why can't it be provided on the "track your contribution" page? Wouldn't it be easier for everyone involved if that page simply stated something like "information already available elsewhere on site" as the reason the contribution was declined?

The track your contributions page is fairly new and I think only has a few stock responses. I'm hoping it expands as it comes out of beta.
