IMDB won't accept my credit on film I wrote and directed

Two shorts I wrote and directed need credit changes. Primarily due to the fact that I use a moniker now to produce films under. I've notified IMDB and provided links to prove the credit should be attributed, but it's been declined.

Any help appreciated.

Hi, Dorny Sunday.

I think the main problem is not the moniker of yours, but the fact that there are, for example, 4 (four) shorts named "Meet Dae Jung" online:

Which one should be representative for the only one that is submitted to IMDb:
https://www.imdb.com/find?q=Meet%20Dae%20Jung&s=tt&ref_=fn_al_tt_mr
?

Because if editors have no evidence for that only title, the rest do not exist in the base...

Hi there,

Thanks for replying.

This was one of the titles I was struggling to be accredited to, so thanks for flagging the issue.

But the primary title I am after accreditation for, is Javier https://www.imdb.com/title/tt8212522/ - I have provided links to not only the screening that has just happened in my local city, but also the publication feature that premiered it online https://www.nowness.com/series/video-art-visions/javier-bardem

Well, thank you for this experience.
All I should say, it would be helpful for editors to see the related 18-digit IDs here, they can be found on your contribution pages:
https://contribute.imdb.com/updates/history
https://contribute.imdb.com/contributions/history

If then you succeed to convince them that Dorny Sunday and Darius Asghari are one and the same person, these two profiles will be merged into one with a main name by your choice, and the second name will be an alternate there.

Would citing my ID number be to show editors how many attempts I've made to inform them of the situation? Or is there another reason?

I also wondered why the evidence I've given isn't sufficient for the editor? Is there any specific reason why you'd propose as to why the latest edit I suggested was declined?

The ID numbers is not a kind of "passkey" or statistics; you may provide them for faster reaction, so the editors could have a look at your current or previous attempt and say what was wrong and what they need from you to improve for final decision. They can explain all the related reasons in the volume they consider enough. Not a staff may guess but can explain no specific reasons, it's impossible.

That makes sense, indeed, getting a response as to why I've been rejected thus far would be very helpful.

Thanks.

Hi Dorny -

If I understand the issues correctly, you have two pages on IMDb (under Dorny Sunday and Darius Asghari) that need to be combined, you also have credit submissions that have not been approved, is that right?

For the credit issue, please post the most recent submission reference numbers here so I can take a look.

Hi Michelle,

This is correct.

I, Darius Asghari, use the moniker Dorny Sunday when I direct material (from 2017 onwards). And the two titles I am trying to accredit are:

Javier and Meet Dae-Jung (in the Director and Writer capacity).

If you can aid me in this, I'd appreciate it.

The latest submission references are the following:

190611-162029-460000

190604-114541-194000

Hi Dorny -

Thanks for confirming; as both name pages belong to you I have now combined them to a single listing on the site under "Darius Asghari".  Rest assured that your credits under the name "Dorny Sunday" will remain listed on the site, but will now include the aka ("as Dorny Sunday") attribute.

For "Javier", I have now added the applicable aka name attribute for this director credit.  For "Meet Dae Jumg", I noted that there are no on-screen credits for this film, so the name cannot be changed, instead the "uncredited" attribute has been included.

Hi Michelle,

Thank you for your help so far.

Although I think I miscommunicated, I'm attempting to get sole accreditation to the name Dorny Sunday. And not have Google index results in my birth name any longer. I do not want to maintain any IMDB pages under my this. I'd prefer not to have any material attributed to any other author than Dorny Sunday, as I'm building a brand and maintaining dual accreditation is causing confusion.

Hi Dorny -

Thanks for the additional clarification, I have now adjusted your name on the site to your preferred name, "Dorny Sunday", the change should be live on the site shortly.  Please note that since you have credits under your birth name ("Darius Asghari") we will need to retain those credits with the aka name attribute ('as Darius Asghari').
