You know, IMDB, I have been getting these promo emails from you about (re)upgrading my account to IMDB Pro for a while. Well, I would LOVE to but I do have only one... ONE request for this to be added to the IMDB Pro membership package: GUARANTEED FAST UP TO (PERHAPS) 5-7 business days to update the information on projects/title pages. I would sign up for the pro membership at a heartbeat if this is added to your offer. -Sincerely.

And I know you guys claim it's 7-10 days to update but for all my title page update requests I have entered 2 months ago, they are STILL not updated.

I know nothing about what you did or didn't do. I am not implying anything about you by saying that submissions rejected were either done wrong (for instance, asking for a deletion for data that can, instead be corrected, which is very common) or could not be verified. That's why I suggested having staff check the status.

Staff, as you now know, does not give response to rejected submissions. If they are beyond 2-14 days, you should check the status and/or add evidence by which they can verify what you've submitted.

You can also find your submission ID numbers by going to your "site settings" section and use the link to "view your contributions."

I think it's a good idea overall....but, the consequenses were missing. And another thing, the site lists millions titles and millions of people. Backlogs can happen at any moment...I am not sure they'd risk the consequence being anything expensive. I bet that they'd want to keep separation between Pro services and the data contribution process. Things could get dicey if Pro members submitted data not eligible and responded with "I pay for this...do as I say". People say that already and there is no connection between Pro and the submission process.

Budget won't, by the way, get deleted. You can correct it but requests to delete, outright, data get rejected.

Also find instruction on deleting a title here http://www.imdb.com/help/search?domai...

You've clearly misunderstood everything I've said. I never implied money back was your idea. It was mine (it is a standard and common consequense of guaratees) as I can't think of what else could be given. I'll just leave it all be. Good luck.

I really do appreciate you spending time to respond my thread. I'm not sure why, but although what you are saying is totally valid and well explained (and actually really helpful - thank you), your messages sounded a little rough. To be clear, I am not here to start or pick a fight and we can communicate fairly nice to each other. There's a tab for "idea" and I chose to post my comments under that for a reason. I actually put a request to update one of my budgets to be deleted and it did (in a reasonable amount of wait time) get deleted as requested. That was an awesome thing and there WERE a few other times my pages were updated faster than speed of lightning. When you said "Budget won't get deleted...You can correct it but requests to delete, outright, data get rejected" seemed inconsistent with what I've experienced. I have been using imdb for some years and I have a wide range of update speed in the past but lately it's been taking a little longer than normal, and I can understand how many titles are submitted these days so it's ok. At the end of the day, we all know it's your call, my voice or opinions really don't mean much here anyway, but thanks for your time. Good luck to you as well.

If you look at some of the threads here, especially replies by Bob_the_moo, who regularly submits for people, edits and submissions are happening regularly in a day (or less depending on when the page goes through it's next update. They've also made changes recently in the process to make things quicker, in some categories.

Regarding budgets...if you've had one deleted, it may have been done in error. There are many, many threads on this board about it. Note that this one is answered by a regular and expert contributor, then verified by staff then marked by staff as "answered."

Sorry you don't like the perceived tone in my reply but that's the way I talk. I am not much in the blow sunshine and rainbows...let's say, in your direction. Again....I like ideas being offered but I noticed it was incomplete. The reason ideas can attract replies is so folks can vote up or fine tune ideas. So thanks for contributing.
