IMDB SAYS TV EPISODES WHICH I'VE WRITTEN DO NOT EXIST YET THEY ARE LISTED?

IMDB used to list all 21 Episodes I wrote for UK TV show The Bill.  Two episodes have mysteriously been removed and when I try to add them to my profile, I am prevented by a message which says that the episodes do no exist. The episodes (DEADLY IMPACT Series14/Episode95, 29th Sept 1998 and TEAM PLAY Series14/Episode111, 4th Dec 1998) are both listed under the series entry for THE BILL.  Why can't I re-enter these episodes? It's best to go to the episode page and add your name there.
If you try to add the credit via your name page you need to get the IMDb's episode name formatting exactly right, and it is extremely finicky.

It looks as if the credits are on http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0002242 so the right thing to do is to correct the existing credits. That is most easily done from the episode page too.

Hi Owen!  Thank you for your reply.  I have looked into this further and have discovered that the actor listed on IMDB as Anthony Valentine (I) has been accredited as the writer of two episodes which I wrote.  I have submitted deletions of these two entries on his IMDB page.  I'm not sure if I will have to add them to my page or whether IMDB will do this automatically when they realize the error.  My IMDB page is at...  Anthony Valentine (II)  http://www.imdb.com/name/nm2469626/?ref_=fn_al_nm_3

That would not work the way you are hoping for -- that means you are saying that Anthony Valentine (I) did not write the episodes, but it doesn't indicate who did write them.

Instead, if you are Anthony Valentine (II) and the writing credits for two episodes had been given to Anthony Valentine (I) in error, the best way to fix this would be to go to the episode pages and change the writing credits from Valentine, Anthony (I) to Valentine, Anthony (II).

I would recommend including an explanation that you are Anthony Valentine (II) and you are correcting the previous erroneous deletion, and include a link to this thread (https://getsatisfaction.com/imdb/topics/imdb_says_tv_episodes_which_ive_written_do_not_exist_yet_the...) to show that you are acting in good faith.

I hope this helps. Good luck!

Thanks gromit82 .  At first it wasn't clear how to change a writer's credit, only an actor's credit, but have now submitted changes.  Thanks.
