Along with the today’s announcement of the new Kindle HDX, X-ray for Movies & TV is now extended to trivia, music and TV character backstories on the new devices. The trivia is in context with the scene you’re watching, and includes the usual title trivia plus goofs, locations, crazy credits, connections and related name trivia. Also included is IMDb soundtrack data whenever a song is playing in the current scene, complete with MP3 purchase options! For TV shows, we give character backstories so you can, for example, remember which king is which in Game of Thrones. The new features are easily ported to second-screen mode if you have a compatible device (like PS3) so the movie or show plays on your TV and the X-ray data is displayed on the Kindle screen. Also in this update the Amazon Instant Video pages have more IMDb content, like trivia, to assist in rental / purchase / viewing decisions. Recommended title to check is 'Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991)' which streams for free for Amazon Prime members in the US.
