Before the My Movies system changed to the current Lists system, it used a CGI interface for modifying things. This made it (relatively) easy to add entries in bulk to a list. Now it is impossible- the only way to do it is with a bunch of mouse clicks.

Why is there no way to import a list given a set of tt numbers? Why can't I convert something like the description of this List: http://www.imdb.com/list/ST6QmibWT-Q/ into a List? I understand the import format may need to be very narrow to keep implementation from being hairy, but it sure looks like the code is already there to do the bulk of it.

Importing should be allowed. You can export to create a backup of your lists. An import function is then required to restore your list in case of a failure and your list is somehow lost.

You should +1 this:
https://getsatisfaction.com/imdb/topi...

Or start your own importing lists suggestion if that one isn't general enough.

Not interested in importing from other sites lists. Only interested in restoring a lost imdb list via an import function using a saved exported csv.

OK then start a new suggestion thread - this is a problem one and doesn't have the same effect.

I think this thread (Importing a List to IMDb) covers all I need to say. End of discussion.
