Impossible name corrections due to system block

In the Spanish speaking world, it's not infrequent for some performers to have a nickname as part of their name, but AFTER their last name, not their first name. That is, so you get the idea, if Jesse 'The Body' Ventura was Spanish, he could very well call himself Jesse Ventura 'The Body'.

There are lots of names listed on IMDb that should follow this format, BUT it is completely impossible to submit this either as a new name or as a correction because IMDb still does not allow the combination of ', in its submission system. I used to correct a few back in the day through the "miscellaneous correction" option, which no longer exists, also I did request the removal of the ', block on the old boards several times, but it was never done.

So, what can be done? I guess I could make a list of a few dozen names to be corrected by a staff member and post it here, if it works this way... but the removal of the damn automated rejection would help matters a lot.

Hi Matías,

THanks for your message. The block is in position to stop badly formatted name pages going live, which, in most cases is correct, therefore this is unlikely to be removed. I would advise using the Contact Us form selecting IMDb Fan/Contributor questions > Names & biographical Data > Change name and the E-mail option to report these directly to staff.

I hope this helps.

Regards,
Will
