Impossible to search through lists

Very simple problem, but makes using any sorting impossible.

Once I get a search results list, there is no way to search through the list using keywords.

For example, when I choose the category "Comedy", and then sort by "Year", I get a ton of search results. The only way to search through this mass of results is to use "previous" and "next" - cumbersome, time-wasting, tedious and downright annoying. There simply HAS TO BE a way through which I can search WITHIN a search results list without having to wade through every single search result page using "prev" and "next".

Please make this basic search results page change. It is something ANYONE in testing should have caught - it is a showstopper on day one.

So this isn't a question about searching lists, but further refining your search results?

If so, you can refine by keywords through the advanced search:

http://www.imdb.com/search/title

Here, is, for example comedies with the custard pie keyword:

http://www.imdb.com/search/title?genr...

Your problem seems to be you've gone here:

http://www.imdb.com/genre/comedy

Then clicked refine by year:

http://www.imdb.com/search/title?genr...

Which then gives you a side bar that only provides year options.

I feel your pain - this is a usability nightmare, so I suggested a fix:
