I was doing an Advanced Search: Soundtracks for the song, 'Where or When', written by Richard Rodgers and Lorenz Hart.

This yields no results.

A search of Richard Rodgers' page shows 40 results.

A search of Lorenz Hart's page shows 42 results.

And, of course, there may be other songwriters who have written a song with this title.

(Why there is a discrepancy between Hart and Rodgers totals, I have yet to ascertain.)

Hi Graham,

This is intended as the terms 'where', 'when', and 'or' are not indexed in our search feature.

Interesting.

I never thought of that ...

Thinking about it though, I wonder whether there is some inconsistency in this. There are other titles made of words that, based on what you indicate, I would expect to return 0 results, but instead return numerous titles ...

"If Not For You" - 31,920 titles.
"Let It Be" -  5,272 titles
"The End"  10,571 titles.

Hi Graham,

In your first search, the word 'you' is indexed.
In the second, 'let' is indexed.
And in the third, 'end' is indexed.

Cheers,

Steve

Again, interesting.

I wonder why the decision was made to index 'let' but not 'where' nor when'.
