My name is Will Parker, I acted in a TV series as a child and would like to add that credit to my current filmography. It is currently under Willam Parker (IV) http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0662704/?ref_=fn_nm_nm_4
The incorrect credit is Mary and Tim.
The correct credit is Grafters.
My current name page with the most credits is Will Parker (VI)

Will,

If I understand correctly, you are William Parker (VI) but William Parker (IV) has your Grafters credits. Is this a correct statement?

If this is correct, then the way to fix it is to go to the Grafters page and correct the credits there, from William Parker (IV) to William Parker (VI). Credits are always corrected from the film/show page, not from the actor/crew page.

Edward: To be precise, Will referred to himself as Will Parker (VI), who would be the person at http://www.imdb.com/name/nm5868106/.

William Parker (VI) is apparently a musician (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1084478/).

Actually it may be possible to correct the credits from the actor page ... I just read instructions in another thread here, https://getsatisfaction.com/imdb/topics/conflation-of-two-actors-a-deceased-canadian-and-me-both-nam...

In cases like this it is essential to be very explicit about what data refers to you and what data refers to someone else.

Is all of the data at http://www.imdb.com/name/nm5868106/  Will Parker (VI) yours?

Is any of the data at http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0662704/ William Parker (IV) about someone else?

If all of the data on both pages refers to you then the pages should be merged. Otherwise you need to move the specific items to the correct page. There are expert contributors reading these boards who can help with the process but you need to be very explicit about what needs to move to where - for example, is the 'Other Works' entry for William Parker (IV) (acted in "Satyricon") yours or is that someone else? Given Will Parker (VI) and William Parker (IV) we already have ten pages for people with similar names so I am sure you can see how important it is to be very explicit about which page and which credit.

Will: And to follow up with what Owen wrote, instead of describing the credits as "correct" and "incorrect", it would be helpful to refer to them as "mine" and "not mine". (After all, the credit is probably correct for somebody, and maybe even for the person who the page should pertain to, if the credit is yours and needs to be moved to a different page.)
