Hello, For some reason, the IMDB app on my iPad keeps crashing. I have tried soft and hard restarts, and I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app. Nothing works. Every time I try to open the app, it crashes immediately. All other apps work fine. I am running IOS 7.1.1 on an iPad Air. Thanks in advance for helping with this very frustrating issue.

Thanks for letting us know. Can you try deleting the app from your iPad and installing it again from the App Store? This should solve your problem for now.

If deleting the app and reinstalling it doesn't fix the problem by itself, can you try answering "Don't Allow" to the dialog that asks if you want to let the IMDb app know your location? I have a suspicion that it could possibly be a bug that we have already fixed for the next version we will be releasing soon.

It would be helpful if someone could send us a crash report from their device. Here are the steps:
  1. Open the Settings app.
  2. Go to General -> About -> Diagnostics & Usage -> Diagnostic & Usage Data.
  3. Select an IMDb crash from the list. This will start with “IMDb_” and contain the timestamp of the crash.
  4. Tap on the crash and you will see a text field with a crash log. Tap an hold on the text to select it and then drag the dots to select the entire text.
  5. Tap on the selection and choose "Copy". Then paste it into an email and send it to iphone@imdb.com

Thanks, Charlie. I don't see it in our email folder yet. Could you also send it to my svendsen@imdb.com email address?

We believe we've fixed the crash on startup. It was caused by unexpected data in your local showtimes results. Please let me know if you still are seeing this crash.
