Issue with award winner/nominee display under festivals.

I recently added my NOMINEE status under one film festival, and it reflects as a nominee on my page and the title page. However, a festival programmer contacted me, saying that on the FESTIVAL PAGE, my title only displays as a BEST FILM without saying winner or nominee, which leaves an wrong impression that it is the winner. I believe that the festival page needs to specify each title either it's the winner or the nominee. Any thoughts?

Hi Vincent, ok, for example: https://www.imdb.com/event/ev0000991/2018/1
Not to mention, this issue appears on every festival page. Thanks.

OK, I get it. I think you raised a good point.
If you take just https://www.imdb.com/title/tt7641832/awards?ref_=tt_ql_op_1, you see that the movie is only a nominee at the San Sebastian festival, when it looks like award winner in the page you provided.

Let us wait for an IMDb staff to visiti this topic and raise it.

Thanks!

Yes, that's exactly my point. On my personal page and title page, no problem. For the festival page, not so much. Apparently it's confusing the festival programmers as they see the titles entered as winners while those are actually only nominees... Thanks for your concern.

I had not visited festival awards pages for a while and I notice that it is a new layout. Obviously it needs some fine-tuning.

Hi T J,

Thank you for the feedback, this is the intended layout of the awards page on an event. For example, if you look at https://www.imdb.com/event/ev0000991/2017/1/?ref_=ev_eh you will see that once a winner is chosen from the nominees this will be listed.

Regards,
Will

Hi Will,

I see. Any winning title gets the "winner" banner... However, I believe it would be better if any nominated title gets "nominee" banner as well to avoid an confusion. If no winning title has uploaded to IMDb, a bunch of nominated titles will appear like winners just like https://www.imdb.com/event/ev0000991/2018/1/?ref_=ev_eh.

Regards,
T.J.

Hi TJ,

Thanks for the feedback, as the event page is working as intended there isn't an issue here with the data, but you could raise this as a "new idea". Then other users can vote on your suggestion and it can be prioritized accordingly.

Will
