There is a misconception among many about the Genre of Sci-Fi and what titles are to be labelled as such. IMDb is the final decision on these matters. Some titles have been Genre "Hijacked" by well meaning contributors. But they are unaware of the many additions and retractions that staff has had to process. This title was rejected by staff for the inclusion of the Sci-Fi genre. It is the correct conclusion. Yesterday I found that the genre of Sci-Fi somehow had been erroneously approved. I submitted a removal and it was approved and the genre was gone. It is still gone as of this posting. I have added the History genre today as the movie is based on real events and uses real life persons names as characters. It was approved.

In the interest of not wasting staffs time further, I suggest that the genres as they exist be locked.
Far to much time will be wasted in the future if this is not done.

These are the links of the previous topics on the matter.

Screengrab of the second URL:

Please lock these genres in for the sake of the staffs valuable time that will be lost if it were not.
It makes sense.
Thank you.

Hi Ed -

Thanks for the background information regarding genres and this title, I have taken additional steps to prevent the removal of the correct listed genres and to help avoid any incorrect additions (such as sci-fi).  Cheers!
