I was watching the movie on the TV guide it was written 22:00-24:00, so I was thinking that I could help to no fall asleep before calculating the results for poll rates of today and then at 23:28, I SAW THE FREAKING CREDITS. I jumpscared like never before, I thought that I fell asleep without noticing at the half of the movie or that it a prank made by Kubrick, but I soon noticed that it was the real ending. Kubrick had to be a legend to cut the movie at that specific time.

Peter is running amuck!!!
First he closed a poll of Paoks, now he made a reply to me that three of my polls will never go live because I suggested them too early! Go figure. They were about movies turning 25, 50, and 75 in 2020. I made the suggestions in November in anticipation of having them go live the first week of January. That way people here would have time to make comments and I could make changes. But he said I just did it so as to beat out the supposed "Real Owner of the Poll." Peter is biased I believe. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Who is the "real owner of the poll?"
Dibs? [no pun intended]
What does "real owner of a poll" even mean?
In May 2018 I made a poll for "Teacher Appreciation Day."
Am I now the "real owner" of all future "Teacher Appreciation Day" polls?
If someone makes a Poll Sug. for Teacher Appreciation Day 2020, do I get to call shenanigans and say they stole my poll???

That is how I got reinstated. No lawsuit mind you, but an impassioned appeal for 90 days and over 30 communiques with IMDb, Sprinklr and IMDb for reinstatement.
Funny part about it was their claim that I was never "suspended" in the first place. So it is like they cannot take any actions anymore. A guy like Afshin or whatever his name is would be gone in hours. They closed my thread report about Afshin with no action, and I opened a second one. They have had to remove several comments by Filmfanatic10 that were very rude to me, plus many more that were worse to staff, but he too remains. I have sent several contact only private replies and all they do is remove....remove....remove. But no removal of him. A year ago this would be an immediate suspension. Hell, they even threatened me with cancellation of my Pro, My standard account and my Get Sat account. But I have changed nothing in my diatribe here. This place is going to deteriorate fast once everyone figures it out.

This is a case that still is not at an end. I guess that the other claim I made to get myself reinstated may have been more relevant than the free speech claim. I actually have made $$$ from working here. That may have been The other reason for reversing their decision. We could talk a lot about this. But suffice it to say that sites like this don't wan to appear to be heavy handed. 10-4?

It was a pure spectacle of bad lands of North India. The characters and acting was just top notch. Too abusive and violent, but serves the purpose of the story. It becomes a bit predictable towards the end, but still I am waiting for next season for what drama unfolds for Kaleen bhaiya.
Dogma (1999) - 7/10
I am not much aware of the Christian mythology, but seemed good parody movie and there was a message too. I think the issue was it got stuck between being sarcastic and giving the message. Jay and Silent Bob rocks!!!

Great, interesting concept hampered by dullness, un-visionary director and un-talented performances.
Would be a good remake.

Do the Right Thing (1989): Not much to say simply a good movie about neighborhood and racism, it is controversial, but in term of filmmaking you have some great shots made the emphasize the emotions and the dramatic. Obviously this movie is part comedy, but I would say that it is still relevant and knows where is the line.
Abraham Lincoln (1930): This movie is basically a parody of Abraham Lincoln with a minimalism description of is an achievement, the only line that you will remember is "The Union Shall Be Preserved", in this movie where the south slavers are glorified Abraham Lincoln is ridiculed to a point where it becomes unwatchable, Fortunately, this movie is not that long.
Scarface (1932): This is maybe because, I have watched the 1983 version before, but in this movie, you don't feel emotionally invested in the end, because this movie doesn't contain enough character exposition.
Catching Fire (2013): For me, this movie could have been only a small part of Mockingjay, because this is basically only an introduction to the rebellion, the character of Katniss doesn't evolve or learn something during the 2 hours.
The Pacifier (2005): I hate childish humor, I hate Vin Diesel as an actor, this is why this movie is bad.
Send Me No Flowers (1964): I have to applause the choice of the title and the original story, this is a gem, the performances are just right, the actors play in a very "big" way, but in a certain way if you look at movies like Ghostbuster, that is a good way to make laugh. Otherwise, I always had great difficulties to explain why a movie is funny. Also, surprisingly some shots in this movie had a small but not negligible cameo on big movies like The Usual Suspect. Unfortunately, comedy is one of the most versatile genre in filmmaking so the type of comedies is varying each decade, these type of humor doesn't exist in Hollywood films anymore.

Don't believe the 4.5 rating.
It's a little purposely silly and "spoofy" but it has actual scares that feel real and not contrived.

Nostalgia!! I don't know why people didn't like it, it was as good a live action remake as it could have been.
Frozen 2 (2019) - 7/10
Good sequel. It was quite the same as first one. Good musical, standard disney movie. I think the past story could have been explored in a better way than a dam!!
A bug's life (1998) - 7/10
Another fool, saving the world. Only the difference was an Ant doing this. The idea has been explored a lot. Maybe beacuse I have seen this now instead of seeing this before a dozen animation movies like this.
Black Cat White Cat (1998) - 9/10
Watch this movie too see how music can fit and lift a movie without characters singing. Great movie, it was a hilarious ride. Underground was groundbreaking and this is nothing less.

“My Cousin Vinny” is a great courtroom comedy movie, in fact a great courtroom movie tout court. (9/10)
Two students are accused of murdering a store clerk in a small Alabama town. Being from New York, they react with all the worst clichés about the South, fearing KKK lynching, inbred sons and ancestral hatred against the Yankees, making them even more stereotypical. One of them (Ralph Macchio) calls his Brooklyn lawyer cousin Vincent Gambini aka Vinny for help. Vinny (Joe Pesci) comes to the rescue along with his sexy and beautiful fiancée, Mona Lisa Vito (Marisa Tomei).
So we get the flashy New York born-and-raised couple dealing with the humbler but no less peculiar mentalities of a small Southern town. There’s more, Vinny’s also a small-time lawyer who passed the bar exam in extremis after a sixth attempt and kept chasing ambulances after. Vinny must make his bones and learn from scratch in a case where his cousin’s life is at stakes, the judge doesn’t seem to like him, so the pressure is big... and as patient and helpful as Lisa tries to be, she doesn’t help when she kindly reminds him that she’s also submitted to pressures of her own (on a biological level).
A new viewer might get the feeling that the botched investigation and the trial are just excuses to generate stereotype-ridden laughs based on the fish-out-the-water element. But as you let the film grow on you, you realize it’s actually the other way round.
I actually believe the comedy is the starting point of a rigorous and insightful exploration of the subtleties of the legal system in general and Alabama in particular. It might be an open-and-shut case for an experienced lawyer but then there would be no movie; no, it’s crucial to have a lawyer who still has to learn the ropes so we learn with him. When Mona Lisa tells him that he’s got nothing to brag about getting files from the prosecutor since it’s the latter’s job, there would be a vice of form otherwise. It’s funny but at least that won’t be forgotten, not by Vinny, not by us. And that’s one example.
“My Cousin Vinny” shows how to deal with an expert witness, how to make a cross examination, how to create a reasonable doubt, how to psychologically handle witnesses and experts, but you know that comes rather late in the film and I guess watching the first part fills the first-time viewer with an urge to see Vinny taking off his amateur clothes and Mona Lisa Vito eventually shine and outshine everyone. But before, we’ve got to come through the two kids indirectly confessing their crime, thinking they’ve been caught for a non-paid tuna can, we get a series of running gags involving Vinny’s impossibility to get a good nightsleep, his procedural interplays with Judge Chamberlain Haller (Fred Gwynne) who takes his job so seriously he holds him in contempt because he can’t even say “guilty” or “not guilty” and many other subplots.
So what we get in the first part is pure comedy routine. Yes, it’s funny but in a predictable way. But director Jonathan Lynn who had a law degree insisted that the film would be the most accurate in its depiction of trial strategy, with its share of attacks and counter-attacks. He knows what he’s doing and prepares us for a big finale. So we laugh with Joe Pesci being his usual loud and annoyingly raucous guy, Gwynne the ‘straight man’ whose facial reactions make for one good third of the laughs and we even get the lousy yet hilarious gag of a stuttering lawyer, (which still serves to make a point: never ask a witness a question if you’re not prepared for the answer).
By the time we get to the climax, the film at least reassures us that it didn’t care much for stereotypes, they’re downplayed to nihil, Vinny stops being a clown and accomplishes his job fairly decently, with growing confidence, using his street smarts and proving that he has the makings of a great lawyer. Pesci is truly given one of his best roles for three reasons: he’s the lead for once, he’s as loud and foul-mouthed as his usual roles, but he’s smart and he’s a good guy who wants to do his job. And yet, that’s not even the film’s secret weapon, in a nutshell, it’s a bombshell.
Anyone who didn’t see the film knows it earned Marisa Tomei an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress, and “supporting” is the word considering her man. But the way she saves the day at the end through her car expertise (pointed out early enough so it doesn’t come down as a Deus Ex Machina) is brilliant, intelligent, insightful, funny and even romantic (Pesci and Tomei had quite a chemistry). And it’s beautiful acting from Marisa Tomei whose reaction shots were already gold during the trial but look at her after she answers the trick question leaving the prosecutor, as deflated as a tire, the look she gives the judge was enough for the Oscar.
The film was the third of 25 legal films voted the best by the American Bar Association, which says a lot about its accuracy. According to experts, it not only shows what they teach you in school but what they don’t, which is where Vinny is the best, being wise, charming, funny but sharp and cutting when it comes to counterattack feeble testimonies, using mathematical precision and pure logic to turn eyewitnesses’ own arguments against them, and teach the jury not to judge on appearances.
And if there’s anything to learn from that movie is not to judge on appearances. Indeed, behind seemingly hostile Southerners, there are decents folks doing their jobs and eager to cooperate, behind a loudmouthed crook-like New Yorker, there can be a great lawyer, behind a sexy gal dressed like Fran Fine, there’s a car expert. And maybe behind a great courtoom comedy, there is one of the best films about... cars.

It is sad, that Orson Welles got fired in post-production because the newly edited version following his specification is way better. Once again this movie is well done because of the 2 important aspects.
Firstly, the screenplay is well attached, Orson Welles you have just enough exposition for each character's storyline, often a scene is being cut in a cliffhanger to like create a bigger sentiment of anxiety.
Secondly, as in Citizen Kane, the camera angles are thought in a way to emphasize each character's aspects. When the camera is showing us Hank (the Police Captain), you always see him at 135 degrees so he looks so his stature looks more intimidating. On the other hand, when a character is a victim the camera is placed higher so the character looks shorter. ( I have put images to illustrate what I'm saying)
Finally, Charlton Heston is playing is character perfectly well except that in the end, I would have expected that he would be more broken from what happened to his wife, but Charlton Heston from is not that good to play broken or affected character, we have a proof of that in The Planet of the Apes when he discovers than he is on earth, he yells but his facial expression is not showing that he is affected.
Camera angle examples:

Avalanche (1978), Rewatch. 1/10. 10/10 MST3k Return episode.
Tonight:
How in the HELL did Starcrash (1978) get nominated for a Saturn nomination for Best Foreign Feature? Easily one of the worst Christopher Plummer movies ever. Rewatch. 1/10 for the crappy Star Wars knockoff. 10/10 MST3k Return episode.

I haven't seen the original, so no comparisons. This was quite good, quite similar to Christopher Robin live action. The music and story were good.
Man On The Moon (1999) - 8/10
I keep on asking question whether it was really happening or just an act put on by Andy there. No one could possibly play the character than Jim Carrey.
Elizabeth (1998) - 7/10
The movie started with a great promise, but then it was hit and miss for everything. The costumes, choreography and cinematography were a better part of movie.

Short review: Not a bad movie, I consider it as average, you have some great performances, but the story gets redundant and boring. The director or the writer wasn't doing is job properly, because it is hard to find what I call "The Thin Red Line" which means that I don't believe that each shot is coherent to the previous one and necessary to the following one. For me, when your movie doesn't contain "The Thin Red Line", it means that each situation in the movies is not enough elaborated, that is a recurrent problem in Western especially when your movie doesn't contain enough good dialog.
On a more technical aspect, the shots in the desert are amazing, but the costume designs are horrible, it looks bland in comparison with other movies of the same era, and the production design is very cliché.

Dream Hunter Rem (Video 1985), short-lived anime series that clearly never got a US release. Canceled after 3 episodes, it appears that the first two episodes have English subtitles (fan-produced) and recently been uploaded to (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ldqUNnyz9og) YouTube.
8/10 for the first two episodes.
It's pretty bonkers and definitely not a kid-friendly magical girl genre of anime like Sailor Moon. Pretty gory (including several decapitations).
The protagonist's hero costume is a seemingly obvious Princess Leia Return of the Jedi slave ripoff/homage. I don't think it's 1990 remake/reboot, New Dream Hunter Rem, of the series has an IMDb page.
The animation, of course, is crap and I can't stand the fugly character design that's synonymous with this generation of anime. Pretty fascinating and enjoyable for what it is.

The casting of Richard Moll was a couple of nouches above Razzie territory. The Vietnam War sections of the film were difficult to accept because it was so obviously a sound stage. The practical makeup and costumes were dreadful (when movies with lesser budgets at least weren't so obviously latex, etc...).
The out of the blue, 'babysit my kid' scene? Was that just an 80s thing? Dropping your kid off with a complete stranger? Unbelievable. And finally, the other dimension/ocean cliff? Where the hell did that come from? That was never established.
I'm being generous with a 5/10 rating.
At least George Wendt played a good kind of nosy neighbor, a rare trait in any 80s or 90s comedy. Someone who actually is likable and caring.

This time I won't post my short review here for two reasons:
1- I'm aware that QT has big Fanclub, I don't want to defend my opinion in the comments because I know that it is already a lost battle. However, I will read every comment, but as I said I won't reply.
2- I have fallen behind recently, I haven't uploaded a lot of reviews, I will try to post as many as possible very soon. Since I don't want to review this title two times in a day, I'm gonna be posting directly this review on IMDb.

The question you're asking yourself is precisely what makes the film so original... why was Mr. Brown here? To talk about "Like a Virgin". What did it add to the plot? Nothing... but who said memorable scenes had something to do with the plot. In fact, the film could have worked without the whole restaurant scene, but QT knew what he did, he shot something never seen before: a casual conversation between characters. And that conversation had nothing whatsoever to do with the heist, but because the heist was only an excuse for a plot... QT was interested in characters, in what they had to say, even if it was off-topic as long as it was entertaining and funny.
The three main characters are all given their flashback sequences, it's White, Orange and Blonde, and then you have Pink of course. Blonde and Pink are still peripheral characters, the core of the film lies in the relationship between White and Orange and its implications culminating in that final minute.

Short Review:
This overall what I consider "High Average",
First, The villains are excellent, their motivations aren't obvious which obviously is not usually a good point, but in this case, you can assume that their only goal is to cause pain. This makes them only more despicable, and that is a good point for an action movie. The movie contains some pretty innovative concepts in terms of car chases that would later be developed to their full potential in Mad Max: Fury Road. However, even with all those good aspects and the pretty entertaining story, you can't deny that the screenplay of this movie is pure garbage, it contains only a few bad lines of dialog and the story while as I said entertaining is simply a pretext for a revenge plot.
To conclude, I recommend this movie for the entertaining aspect and the cultural impact that it had especially in Australia, but avoid it if you expect a movie with a strongly coherent plot.

This is one of the best episodes I have ever seen in a tv serie, the tension, drama, emotions and epicity overflow in this show, it is the most crucial episode of the whole series so far, show the differences between the beginning of the character and its evolution and how it has reached its breaking point, exactly where everything started.
