Mini Bio shows - Joseph Gilgun was born on March 9, 1984 in Chorley, Lancashire, England. He is an actor, known for Emmerdale (1972), This Is England (2006) and Lockout (2012).

However, I can't seem to make the edit to add, both Misfits, and Preacher, which he is arguably more famous for!

I disagree slightly with Ian, as in my opinion his most famous role is 'Emmerdale' with 'This is England' in 2nd place, possibly 'Misfits' in 3rd place, and possibly 'Preacher' in 4th place.

I agree with Ian however that 'Lockout' shouldn't be one of the "known for" names, as it is relatively obscure and only made 32 million dollars at the box office. I had seen it but completely forgot I had seen it until I saw it on a Top 10 Video list last year, which shows how memorable it is, to me anyway.

I expect that 'Emmerdale' and 'This is England' are there because of the number of episodes he did, but how does it decide with all the other factors?

For example:

Example 1 - There could be a TV show with just 3 episodes that is more famous than a TV show with 50 episodes, but IMDB might decide to stick with the 50 episode show.

Example 2 - There could be a Film that made billions that is more famous than a TV show with 3 episodes, but IMDB might decide to stick with the 3 episode TV show.
