Julieanne Moore’s bio stops in 1999. I would have expected some mechanism would be in place to automatically assign an update review to former (and other) bio writers.

Dear Sir, the biography is open for all IMDB users to update. Feel free to edit and add any information you might have regarding expanding the biography past 1999.
As with most information provided by the general public on IMDB, one can try to be complete, but one cannot force people to participate.

Point taken, Hugo Toledo. We don't even have a mechanism to track the ages of biographies. Yes, it's sad. Would you care to post a general concern as an "idea" topic?

Outdated and incomplete biographies do happen, unfortunately, but they are indeed might be edited by users.
