So I submitted a video documentary. Usually I wouldn't bother, but this was presented as a short film, with the ending credits.
I provided the video link, the official site and, when resubmitting, a couple news articles about it.
The submission guide about eligibility reads:
General public interest is assumed if a work has been:
Released on video or the web or prints have been made available to the public.
Made by a (now) famous artist or person of public interest.
which applies to the submitted title 3 times - at least 2 of the cast & crew are of public interest.
Meanwhile IMDb holds a lot of titles which barely meet any of the criteria if at all.
