Hello,

I've been updating one by one all my submissions (more than 100) providing a clear link that shows that every item has a DVD issue and therefore there's evidence of it.

I've been spending a lot of time to update all one by one, but the data editor replied me back again with the same message:

Lack of supporting evidence

Do you know why?

Provide some screenshots of the credits and that should take care of the problem. If you can’t provide (enough) links/sources, screenshots are your next best friend.

Like I said, if IMDb wants additional proof, screencaps from the actual credits are probably your best choice.

I've provided the links of 3rd party movie database website. I would say this is enough...

Hi Stefano,

Thanks for your post.

Third party movie databases may allow users to add content without verification, this means they are not eligible as evidence.

I can see you've recently had a fair few titles approved, however if you can provide additional information (such as contribution references) we can review these and explain exactly why the evidence wasn't sufficient.

Thanks,
Joel

For example: #180119-143755-006000

Two more questions:
- May eventually the IMDB Id for each title change? (I'm referring to title/tt######)
- May a title added and approved for some reason be removed/deleted/merged to something else? Will the IMDB Id change in this case?

Thanks a lot

Hi Stefano,

I've taken a look at your new title submissions and it looks like they breach IMDb policies therefore can't be accepted as valid titles on the site. For example Loony Tunes - All Stars Volume 1 is a compilation DVD therefore it is ineligible as the original episodes already exist on IMDb. It also looks like you've been adding Italian dubbed pre-existing titles as new titles to the site which unfortunately again is a breach of policies as it would create duplicate titles and at this time dubbing credits are ineligible on IMDb. For more information please see https://help.imdb.com/article/contribution/filmography-credits/cast-acting-credits-guidelines/GH3JZC...#

Only the original voice actors can usually be credited. For example, on an Italian non-animated film, only the actors providing Italian voices on the original version of the film can be credited in the database. We won't list the actors providing French voices for the French release of that film. The only exceptions to this rule are animated titles and videogames, where we may list both the original-language cast and the English-language cast, if applicable.Dubbing credits for foreign languages are currently not eligible to be listed in the database.
In other words, the actor who provides the voice of Jack Nicholson in the French version of his movies, or the actress who dubs Julia Roberts on all her Italian films cannot receive a credit in the database for their voice work at this time. We might relax this policy and allow foreign/localized credits to be added at some point, but not at present. In the meantime, such credits can be noted as "other works" in the biographies of the relevant people.
I hope this helps.
