Because you don't mind your own business. You are displaying the wrong language.

Dave,

Could you please explicit precisely:
- what you witness
- what you want to achieve
- what you are doing to achieve it
- what the outcome is

Please also include:

- the device you are using and the language of your device
- the OS version of this device
- the method you are using to access IMDb
- your physical location (zip/postal code)

Thanks in advance!

It seems the issue is in a specific point of my watch list. When I load the basic watchlist it's not in my language. After posting this I refine my search to TV series, and they were in English. Occasionally there's one or two that isn't and I'm not sure why. Vikings is one of them. My language settings have both been set to English for Country Canada. Send note 8 phone everything's default English. However I am in Spain.

Thank you for such quick replies, I honestly didn't expect to hear from someone this quick.

Hi Dave,

Can you please confirm if you're experiencing this issue from a desktop web browser, your mobile web browser, or the IMDb app (for iOS or Android)?

Yes. I usually use the mobile browser. Just cheered full site browser and mostly in Spanish. Note 8 would be Android.

Hi Dave,

We are a bit confused as to the issue you are experiencing. You mentioned that your language is set to English for Canada. What language are you seeing? What is the language you are expecting to see?
Please provide us with a screenshot of what you are seeing to clarify.
Thanks in advance! Appreciate your cooperation so we can investigate further.

Hi Dave,

I can confirm that this issue is being caused by your device's language settings. I would recommend diving into the settings of your device to confirm that you have the language set to English for the device in general and all applications. You can contact your phone manufacturer or service provider for more information if you are having trouble.

Wish you the best!

if it was my device this issue wouldn't be just on your site.

I'm not the only one that's had this issue, so do your due diligence. Not impressed with your reply, or the effort to understand this. Your reply sidesteps any logical understanding of all the information I just shared.

As I clearly stated at least twice now, it's happening specifically on my watchlist. So explain how it could be my device when it's not on the entire site?

Hi, Dave.
Since the IMDb system for language preferences is actually not so direct and clear as we all might expect, I may suggest you some temporal workarounds to try.

First, in the "Site Preferences" of your profile try to change the "Title display country/region" into "United Kingdom" (don't forget the yellow "Submit" button), then re-open your watch-list. If this doesn't help, try "United States". If both variants don't help, make sure your Chrome Devices are not enrolled to a primary domain.

Second, if nothing above helps, try to set "Original" for the "Title display country/region". It may not be totally comfortable, but would be better as a temporary measure in your situation, if it works.

This is what we recommend to anyone having localization issues on IMDb.  You can set the original titles preference on the IMDb website via https://www.imdb.com/preferences/general and on the Android and iOS apps via the app settings.  While this will not fix all problems, it is the best solution until we complete the long-term work on rebuilding the IMDb data model to properly support local titles; unfortunately there is no quick fix.

Unfortunately the issue here is on the mobile website at https://m.imdb.com/ which has no localization support at all, sorry.  We recommend switching to the appropriate IMDb app for your device or always using the full desktop site via https://www.imdb.com/?mode=desktop

I've done these things already.
As I previously stated, it happens on my watch list specifically.
Maybe the work needs to be done on IMDB's side, instead of passing the buck. Disappointing to say the least.

Please see our comment above. The issue is a longstanding defect in the IMDb data model for which there is no easy nor quick solution.  In the meantime, as recommended above:
