I have been trying to get my Public access TV show put on IMDB database for about 1 months now. My name did get on the database but I am still waiting for my show to appear so I can put myself in the credits. How much longer is it going to take to get Legend of the Nerds on IMDB? I did make all the necessary corrections and added some contact info for the TV station.

James: Please post your last full data submission here on this message board. You can copy it out of the receipt you would have received from IMDb by e-mail immediately after sending it in. Some of the regulars on the board may review it and, if they can, they may provide suggestions as to how to improve the submission to get it included in the database. (Also, please include the submission reference number -- it's an 18-digit number that will look something like 150123-123456-789000.)

Your show may not be eligible for inclusion in IMDb. If you check the Eligibility rules section of the Submission Guide: Adding a New Title you will find the following restriction:
This has been a rule for a long time, and IMDb has significantly widened the type of Title it will accept, so it is possible that your show might be accepted now. I believe it would have a better chance, however, if it is also released on the internet.
For a work to be eligible for inclusion in the database it must be of general public interest and should be available to the public or have been available in the past.Note that this states that local access shows are not eligible for listing.
[...]
NOTE: Unless general public interest is assumed for one of the reasons stated above, general public interest is NOT given for titles:
- Made for private home use only (i.e. like a home movie, which is of a strictly private nature).
- Made for local consumption by friends, family members and neighbours, the local school campus etc. (including "local access television").
This has been a rule for a long time, and IMDb has significantly widened the type of Title it will accept, so it is possible that your show might be accepted now. I believe it would have a better chance, however, if it is also released on the internet.

David: I believe that the eligibility rules you are referring to have not been updated to reflect current policy. In the past, IMDb did not accept public access cable television shows. However, another page, http://www.imdb.com/help/search?domain=helpdesk_faq&index=1&file=resumeeligible&ref_=hlp..., now lists "Regional/local TV shows (public access etc.)" among the types of credits that are currently eligible for listing.

I thought that might be a possibility although I did not recall seeing anything like that; that is why I put in the caveat that it might be acceptable now. However, IMDb really needs to update the Guide, since that should be the bible for New Titles.

James: I have several comments about this data submission.
Source: Being a producer, director, or writer, of which you are two of those things, outranks being a member of the cast/crew for this purpose, so select "... producer/director/writer".
Required data not supplied: Normally you should try to avoid having to complete the "Required data not supplied" section, by submitting enough data in other sections that you can get your title submitted normally. I believe that it should be possible for you to do so.
Release date: Instead of (Public Access Broadcasting), for a local show such as this, use an attribute that indicates the city or town where the program is broadcast:
(St. Albans, Vermont)
Miscellaneous link: The link as provided and described is not specific enough to enable an IMDb staffer to find your show mentioned. I would use the link http://northwestaccess.tv/schedules/channel-15-schedule/ and give a description along the lines of "Northwest Access TV - Channel 15 schedule (see Nov. 26, 9 pm; Nov. 28, 12 am ...)", preferably adding a couple more dates and times to the description so that the staffer can see that your show is on the schedule multiple times in upcoming weeks.
Also, if you have any other independent links to provide, such as local media coverage of your show, please submit them as Miscellaneous Links as well.
Budget: Because television series are ongoing, the budget isn't generally submitted for them (see https://contribute.imdb.com/updates/guide/business_bt). Even if you were submitting a budget, you would need to provide an amount, not just a currency.
On the other hand, you should also submit an Official Site, namely your show's Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/Legend-of-the-Nerds-1017197171643128/), and a Distributor, to be identified as Northwest Access TV [us].
Filming location: There is a specific format that locations should be formatted in, along the following lines:
Northwest Access TV - 1 Main Street, St. Albans, Vermont, USA
In other words, put a hyphen after the building name, then put the street address, city, state, USA. You will be prompted for an attribute but you don't need to provide one (just check the box that says "Warning understood, go ahead anyway").
I would also recommend submitting Keywords to indicate the topics that your show regularly covers, for example:
pro-wrestling
comic-book
These changes should enable you to re-submit your show to IMDb. If you have other problems, feel free to come back here and ask.
Good luck!
