According to the Crazy Credits submission guide:
(Also, unrelated minor problem: in the quote I copied, the number of full stops in the ellipses is not consistent. Just seems a bit messy. It seems like a good opportunity to show how many dots you would prefer.)
However, line breaks are not kept, as can be seen in this example. When it says line breaks, does it mean HTML breaks (like < br / >), or should enter work? The closing credits include some unusual job titles:
- Verbatim credits should be listed inside quotes, with some context. e.g.:
"Garett Grant .... Moose wrangler
Fred Washington ... Guy who washed the cars"
- (NB: Line breaks and indentation are preserved in this section.)

Hi Matt, we ask that users submit credits exactly as they are seen on screen, we do not second guess users and change the formatting that is submitted by a user because we think it should be different.
If you come across any the you know to be wrong please submit a correction.
As for the full stops in the ellipses, again we want to store exactly what was displayed on screen. If one credit ans three and the other has four then please submit them like that

Thanks for the response, but that didn't answer my question. In the example I linked, there is a line break (enter/return) in the second Crazy Credits entry (between "Coat" and "Hair"), but as can be seen, it is instead displaying as space.
I understand the point of keeping credits exactly as they are on screen, but I don't think that's the point of the example from the guide. Credits are rarely written like that on screen. I'm pretty sure it's meant to be example of how you could write two columns of credits without the ability to use columns. And since it's a hypothetical example anyway, that doesn't explain why you used a different number of dots.

Ah apologies, I now see what you mean. The example you provided is actually stored internally the way it was submitted, with line breaks but the display on the site seems to have collapsed this into a single line. I will investigate the display logic to try and find the source.
I think the difference in the ellipses may have just been a mistype in the guide.

This post is marked solved, but I came to talk about the same thing. It seems Crazy Credits pages are still unable to display line breaks even though they are stored in the data that can be seen in the update form.

I've found that's a fairly common problem on this forum, posts being marked as complete as soon as there's a response, even if the response isn't adequate or needs following up.

Updated link to the submission guide: https://help.imdb.com/article/contribution/titles/crazy-credits/GHJCTK5CDW8X3FWY
It seems the inconsistency in the ellipses has been addressed and the note about line breaks has been removed. However, the example still utilises line breaks, which is still impossible to do.

I accessed the guide by clicking the blue question mark in the update form, where the part about line breaks is still there.

It's a problem that the submission guides are inconsistent in various places.
