A few months ago, I tried linking my Facebook account with my IMDb account that I have had for 12 years. I thought it worked, but if I log into IMDb using my Facebook account, it is a completely different profile. I've tried following the instructions to delete the IMDb app from my Facebook account settings, but when I try to link my IMDb account again to Facebook, I get an error that my Facebook account is already connected to another IMDb account.

I've tried to delete the IMDb account associated with my Facebook account. It asks for my email or ID and password, but it doesn't accept the email associated with my Facebook account or the user ID associated with that IMDb account.

I have also attempted to connect both my Amazon account and Google account with IMDb. I get a message that my email address is already in use and it asks if I would like to link my account. When I enter my ID and password for my IMDb account, red texts pops up next to the ID field that just says "Try again."

I'm trying to find a way to contact IMDb about these issues. Their contact page has a link to http://www.imdb.com/helpdesk/login_problems, but when I click the link I am redirected to http://www.imdb.com/helpdesk/contact, which is the page I am already at. It seems that none of the options to link the IMDb account to external sites work and there is no way to contact IMDb directly for assistance.

Hello Todd,

I apologize we were unable to respond to your inquiry sooner.

May I ask if this issue persists?

I just saw that someone me-too'ed this post. I had forgotten about this post, but my issue was resolved a long time ago. In my case, the issue was that my ISP switched the domain name years ago, so my email address had changed from when I first registered with IMDb. All this time, I had been signing into IMDb with my user name instead of email, so I never realized the problem.

After updating the email associated with my profile, I finally started getting notifications for replies to my message board posts when the message boards were still operational.
