Well, as I say, Avatar isn't truncating the lists to 1,000 - it seems only to have 991 lists on it, so it is displaying all the lists that there are.
Star Wars is displaying all 993 lists:

Now the question is not why it is stopping after a certain number of pages (which implies there are lists not being displayed), but where have all the other lists gone?
My lists are all there, but they also tend to be tend to be on more obscure films, so it is tricky to say. However, I have a space horror list:

Which should appear on the Aliens related lists (I can find it on obscure films with smaller numbers of related lists) and doesn't (it ends at 992 - suspiciously similar numbers):

So something is going on, but I can't quite figure out what. You'd imagine if the pages are being truncated, they'd all end at 1,000. However, they clearly not just cleared out a lot of lists (there were a tonne of spam lists that needed clearing up) as I know there are visible lists not showing up.
Perhaps staff could shed some light on this...

Nope, I'm an ordinary user - put in a group of users who hang around providing (hopefully) useful answers and input. If we can't answer a question directly we'll try and do some of the spadework so when staff do pitch in (they've been a bit scarce on here recently) then the problem is clear and they can then work out the best way to progress.
