In a previous post, someone suggested a list watchlist:https://getsatisfaction.com/imdb/topi... is one of the features I think we need for lists but would like to take it further and allow people to create lists of lists. This would allow people to have a list watchlist, but they could also have themed lists to track specific topics: Harry Potter lists, zombie film lists, etc. - the extra flexibility making it easier for people to find and follow listsClearly, there'd be a way to stop it getting recursive with people creating lists of lists of lists, but that would presumably not be possible due to the database structure but worth flagging up now rather than trying to fix later.

Exactly, it might, for example, be useful to have the ability to add keywords to lists, but this would allow other ways of categorising the lists and helping people find the good ones.

In a sense IMDb already has a partial implementation of a list of lists, i.e. each user's list of lists. However, a list of lists with that follows a specific theme would be useful, especially since IMDb currently has no means of tagging lists or searching for lists within IMDb.
In lieu of having this specific feature, one can compile a list of title lists by including the first title of a list in your own title lists and linking to the list in the description. Here is an example I created a few months ago, admittedly the implementation is rather clunky.
My Favorite IMDb Film Lists

Finally, the concept of recursive lists of lists harken back to my days of programming in Lisp (list processor).

I fully agree that the alternative I've suggested to having a list of lists is rather clunky. I sincerely would like to see a list of list feature implemented.

And the fact that people are trying to hammer the square peg of a list of lists through the current round hole of lists, shows how much people want to see this done properly.

Even if you could tag lists (and I don't think we have that as a suggestion yet - I'll do that later)

It should also be possible for users to add lists as favorites inside IMDB, in order to revisit them afterwards.

Hi Guilherme Simões Reis,
It would be useful to be able to have a list of favorite lists. Unfortunately, this is current not available. Until IMDb implements this feature, I see four ways of have a list of favorite lists.
1. Use the bookmark feature in your browser. In some browsers this is called favorites. Keep a separate folder in your bookmarks for IMDb lists.
2. Maintain an external document that has links to your favorite lists. You could do his offline in Microsoft Word or Excel, or equivalent products from other software venders. You could also use Google Docs or a blog for that purposes. Here is an example of a blog:

I would like to be able to favorite someone else's list. And I would like to be able to access these favorites under a " my favorite lists" tab

My friends and I love IMDb but there is not a prominent way on the site to follow or subscribe to a list of movies or actors. It would be very useful if one could subscribe to a list and even possibly get notifications if it was updated and easily access the list. I was unsuccessful at finding a thread here where someone might have asked the same, hence why I made a new one.

IMDb lists are great, but there should be a way to add the lists to your favorites or subscribe to the list so that you can refer back to it easily from your account instead of researching it.
