If you're willing to go back to 1955 for Rebel Without a Cause, then you're missing a ton of anti-heroes from the late 50's and 60s, such as Paul Newman in the H trilogy (Hud, The Hustler and Hombre), Steve McQueen in The Sand Pebbles, Lee Marvin in The Dirty Dozen, Robert Mitchum in the original Cape Fear, Alan Arkin in Wait Until Dark, even Cary Grant in Charade and Father Goose. There are a couple dozen others I can think of off the top of my head, but I imagine you get the point -- you're giving the earlier decades very short shrift.

Hmm. Are this all Anti-Heroes? I mean they don't have super powers like the ability to fly. But
Léon e.g. for sure has some skills one should not underestimate.
