Dear IMDb | Champions

Concerning the IMDb log-in / log-out function: On a standard account (not IMDbPro), is it advisable to log-out at the end of a session? And if so, could someone please explain the reason for doing so?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Dr-Faustus,

We do recommend logging out at the end of a session while using a public/shared device. However, there's no particular reason to log out if you're browsing from a personal computer/mobile device not used by other individuals.

Please let us know if we can offer any further help.

Hi ACT_1,

No, your login session will expire after a period of inactivity. My point was simply that it's not necessary to take the action each time to log out if using a personal device.
