i would be so fortunate if someone can help me identify the name of this film i cant seem to recall. it took place in the south and had this moment at the end where an older man is sitting on the porch with his father and they're having a conversation. all of a sudden, the father doesn't answer back and we realize he has died in his sleep. i remember the son saying "pop?" "pop?" and this beautiful music playing. would be forever in debt if someone can help! :)

Very good.
Grumpy Old Men and Grumpier Old Men are among my favorites for long time. And I can tell for sure that The Judge (2014) matches better to the provided description: "sitting on the porch with his father and they're having a conversation". Since there is no porch in both movies, and only in The Judge (2014) they are having conversation. In Grumpier Old Men, the son goes after fishing with a monologue to his father, having no idea that his dad is dead.
