Help!
Recently, the majority of client listings for a company I represent were removed from its IMDB page. We received a notice of some apparent "disputes" of client listings, and the next day our client list was chopped from 104 to 13.
First, the company I work with is led by an agent with 30+ years of experience, who has many current clients but also many past clients he worked with on specific campaigns. I've searched IMDB and the Internet for any mention of whether "clients" to IMDB means ONLY current, or if it can include past as well. Can anyone provide more detailed guidelines here? The best guideline I was able to find was the main page explaining how to make a submission - but no mention there of what is considered a "client."
However, many of the clients that were removed from the page are current clients, which we reached out to individually in order to ensure they were agreeable to us listing them with our representation. These clients would not have disputed representation - and I do not understand why they would have been removed. It makes sense in the case of a dispute to have those specific individuals removed, but it does not make sense to me that nearly our entire client list would be removed en masse with no explanation other than "some of the names were disputed."
This broad removal of almost all our clients also makes our IMDB listing highly inaccurate. This has been very frustrating and potentially damaging to the company's image, as it makes it appear as though it only represents 13 clients - when in fact the number is much higher. We've tried to re-list the current clients, but have had no success.
Is there any way to get them re-listed? I am happy to provide exact URLs of each page, as well as the representation type. There are also press releases and other documentation available to prove the representation is accurate if needed.
I read on some previous threads that in these cases, the clients themselves must add themselves from their own Pro accounts. I hope that's not the case, considering the following:
Thanks,
Sarah

- Not all the clients HAVE pro accounts - so this becomes an issue of them having to pay in order to show correct representation. That doesn't seem right.
- Some may have Pro accounts, but it's not really appropriate or realistic to expect them to add the info themselves. Many don't have the time or don't want to be bothered with something the talent agency really should handle.
- That seems like a punishment that really doesn't fit the "crime," considering these current clients didn't dispute their listings
Thanks,
Sarah
