Hi there! Is there anyway to preform a bulk edit on Lesa Greenfield's credits? We would like all of her "director of production: DROPOUT" and "Director of Production" credits to be moved from being under the "Miscellaneous Crew" section to "Producer" category.
On the editing side, we don't see a way to do this without individually updating every single credit. Is there anyway we can do this that we're not aware of, or any way for someone on the IMDB side could help?
Thanks!

Apologies, I think the problem is actually that her credits are appearing twice, under both Misc. Crew and Producer for "See Plum Run", "Dimension 20", and "Cartoon Hell". Can we just have the credits showing up under Misc. Crew be deleted? She had already sent requests for those deletions and they don't seem to be going through.

I do not believe that "director or production" qualifies for a producer credit under IMDb rules. I'm interested so I'll wait to see what an IMDb employee says.

Hi CollegeHumor,
Adrian is correct, director of production credits should be listed in the production managers department, I've moved her credits to that department now.

Will

Hi Will,
As the company that is producing this content, we feel that listing our director of production or senior director of production under "Production manager" is incorrect. The nature of the role is a producer role, and always has been. In the spirit of trying to host accurate information here, could you please move Lesa's credits back to "Producer"?
It would really help the morale of my team here if we didn't have to manually correct these hundreds of entries, so I'd so appreciate your help on fixing this!

Hello, all of my Producing credits have been bulk moved in error to Production Management because of a misunderstanding. I have been credited as a Producer at my current job for 2 years I am not sure why they were moved.

Hi there,
Thank you for your comments, however these credits are treated by IMDb as a production manager role.
We are aware that credits are grouped in categories that sometimes don't accurately reflect how they are displayed and organized in film credits or production listings. While we try, whenever possible, to follow standard industry conventions, our organization is also based on internal technical requirements, which in some cases necessitate grouping together credits for unrelated jobs.
This categorization is not meant to imply anything about the relative importance of a credit, or to give a higher profile to one job at the expense of another: it's solely dictated by our internal data management restrictions.
Thank you for understanding.

Will

Hi Will,
I have been credited as a Producer for the last 3 years and the credit has always been accepted. My role is a Producer and Production Executive.
Both Senior Director of Production and Director of Production are under the dropdown menu for Producer as well as Production Executive
. So i'm not sure why it would be an option at all there is an internal system that dictates data management restrictions. If it's a choice under the Producer category it should be an approved credit.
Here is a screenshot of the dropdown menu under Producer where you add credits.
Thanks!

I replied to your first answer to my question but no one had followed up.

Hi Lesa -
Thanks for sharing your observation, due to the number of submissions we handle, occasionally credits may be listed in the wrong category (such as 'director of production' credits listed under the Producer credit category).
As Will mentioned previously, credits for "Director of Production" should be listed in the Production Managers Department. If this credit type listed in the Producers section on the site, it is incorrectly categorized and should be corrected, anytime you encounter incorrectly categorized credits I encourage you to report them to our editors through our online Update form.
