Dear IMDb community, the following entry:

http://www.imdb.com/name/nm9181172/

is clearly a fake. There is no composer named "Matthew E. Cohen" outside of IMDb, German Wikipedia or Facebook, the latter two were both created yesterday:

https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Matthew_E._Cohen
https://www.facebook.com/Matthew-E-Cohen-137316956863599/

 Thanks for deleting this entry.

Roaaak,

I've confirmed that the Wikipedia entry for  Matthew E. Cohen was created 22:01, 5. Aug. 2017‎.
https://de.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Matthew_E._Cohen&action=history

However, IMDb does not use Wikipedia or Facebook as a source for information. Neither is considered a reliable primary source.

IMDb primarily uses onscreen credits.

I don't understand what you mean ... Do you have a reliable onscreen credit for Matthew E. Cohen, or are you going to delete this entry?

Roaaak,

I am not an IMDb Staff member. This is a matter for IMDb staff members to investigate if warranted.

IMDb does not generally add a credit without an onscreen credit or information from the production company. IMDb does not disclose the source of their data to the public. One cannot conclude that Matthew E. Cohen is a fake entry simply because there are a new Wikipedia and Facebook pages for him.

Justice League is in post-production and will not make its debut in the US until 17 November 2017. IMDb most likely received the credit for Matthew E. Cohen from the production company, Warner Bros. or one of the official external sites (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0974015/externalsites), such as http://www.justiceleaguethemovie.com/. Consider also, that IMDb had a strong presence at the 2017 San Diego Comic Con and interviewed many of studio representatives.

There is evidence that the credit for Matthew E. Cohen is legitimate:

@Dan

I did not conclude that Matthew E. Cohen is a fake entry 'because' there are new Wikipedia and Facebook pages for him, but because there's 'nothing else' about him. In your words: No reliable sources at all. And that's for the theme composer for an upcoming major hollywood film ...

The video you linked was uploaded an hour ago, to a channel who claims to belong to Hans Zimmers production company:

https://www.youtube.com/user/HansZimmerCFM/videos

But why are there only three videos with almost no views? One of it completely unrelated to any film music, the other one by an artist named "Dat Merlin", who is unknown outside Twitter, Facebook or the likes, but claims to compose for the upcoming "It" movie and will most likely soon be the next entry into IMDb and Wikipedia? Nope, this channel is as reliable as the rest of the sources: Not at all.

@Robert Perner: Besser, aber nicht gut genug.

So I can only say that Hollywood is not working very fast especially when it comes to music the exchange between Junkie XL and Danny Elfman was publish 4 months after the change.
In addition, he is not registered as a composer, but only for the theme music to the film which does not support your statement here.
And farther you have supported yourself on top of the wikipedia article and the Facebook page for your statement.
And probably Matthew E. Cohen was added from the studio itself to the IMDb.
I think for me this is not a fake yet for someone else who looks at the situation.

PS: Only the studio or the production company itself can carry out entries without the review of the staff otherwise all other entries made by other people will always be checked by a staff member before it is released.

Hm.. What he wanted to tell you is that he will not delete the entry.
I also do not find much information about Matthew but I think this entry was made by the studio itself.
But I've also read the German Wikipedia the name "Elias" is not true.
I have found something a long time ago on the Internet but i found unfortunately no more can but remember that the second name was Eden.
I think the entry can stay so it should be a fake the studio will delete it anyway.
What I do not believe is that it is a fake.

It has no interest because it is not a fake!
The inclusion of Matthew E. Cohen was undertaken by the Studio Warner Bros. and is thus legitimate.
People who are registered by the studio are generally not deleted, so you should familiarize yourself with the terms of use.

Matthew E. Cohen was born with full name Matthew Eden Cohen in 1992 was registered by the studio and is thus legitimate so no fake to recognize.
I sent an e-mail yesterday to Warner Bros and asked about Matthew E. Cohen who confirmed to me that he is the composer responsible for the music theme.

Topic close.
