You can do it yourself. Decide which one you want to be the primary listing and then merge ONE of the other entries into that listing. Then merge the other one into that primary listing.

The trick is - do them one at a time, and read all of the instructions carefully  :)

Ive tried to fix the same issue myself repeatedly but to no avail.  It keeps telling me that it's not needed because the names are the same.  They're not, but I'm not just trying to add my first name, I'm trying to merge two pages and it tells me it's rejected for the same reason: not needed.

To Melissia Dawn Hopson,

If I viewed the correct IMDb name pages, you need to start the name merge on the page with the higher Roman numeral (II). When you type the name in the Name Correction or Merge form, type the name this way:

Last Name, First Name (I)

Uncheck the checkbox to the left of the following statement:

Preserve previous name on existing credits....

In the explanation box, write a brief message about why the page is being merged. (Example: Name merge request. This is the same person on both pages.)

After you click the Recheck these updates button, the page should now be in yellow. Acknowledge the warning message by clicking the checkbox to the left of the following statement:

Warning understood, go ahead anyway.

After you click the Recheck these updates button, the form should now be in green and ready for submission. Give at least 48-72 hours for processing.

I hope this helps. Please write back if you still need assistance.

Update:
Does this involve merging two or more name pages, changing the name of one page or both?

The information above was to merge two or more name pages.

In changing the name, type the name this way:

Last Name, First name(s)

Considering that the filmography data are from previous years, you were listed under the previous name. Leave the checkbox to the left of the statement below as is.

Preserve previous name on existing credits....

On the yellow warning message page after clicking the Recheck these updates button, scroll to the bottom of the name list and click the button to the left of the following statement:

Correct the name to... - do not merge it with another name.

As with the previous instructions, give at least 48-72 hours for processing.

Hi Colin -

I have now combined the pages for you (under "Colin Dixon (VI)") and the change should be live on the site shortly.  If you encounter this problem again in the future, you can make the change yourself as Steve mentioned, you can find instructions here.  Cheers!
