I feel like this has been adressed before but it would be easier to have an alert on the website (e.g.: a bell or a letter icon next to the profile name) rather then have an e-mail sent.
As an avid website user I feel like It would be a big improovement as people would probably check the reply earlier, while saving the effort of going to another page.
