My submission to list Six Days Seven Nights under the Action and Comedy genres was declined. The film was once listed under those genres, but they were removed at some point. Many people would agree this film fits under those genres.

Adventure Films are exciting stories, with new experiences or exotic locales. Adventure films are very similar to the action film genre, in that they are designed to provide an action-filled, energetic experience for the film viewer. Rather than the predominant emphasis on violence and fighting that is found in action films, however, the viewer of adventure films can live vicariously through the travels, conquests, explorations, creation of empires, struggles and situations that confront the main characters, actual historical figures or protagonists.If you add more butter into the porridge, it will not be more porridge.
Six Days Seven Nights, among other scenes, ends with the protagonists escaping on a plane while pirates are shooting at them. I feels scenes like that constitute an action film.
Twister has the constant scenes of tornadoes bulldozing various things. That film ends with the protagonists running from and eventually getting caught in a tornado. Again, it seems like it fits under the action genre.

I do not know why MAthePA chose to argue against it being the genres that you claim.
They clearly are.
I have seen both movies myself. The genres you claim them to be, is correct.
