Movie connections too difficult to update for complex connections

For several different titles, I have tried correcting the "Reason" field to no avail. Sometimes, the change just never happens, and sometimes, as with this title, I changed the wording of the reason for all its "Version of" connections, it updated for that title but not the others, and now it's reverted back to the way it was before. For another title, I added a "Followed by" connection; it worked for that title, but in the other title, the reason is blank, which shouldn't be possible. For other titles, I have tried adding extra "Version of" connections, but they are not getting added.

It says in the submission guide for movie connections that editing complex connections can be cumbersome, but it shouldn't be this difficult.
