I had asked about my daughter being added to the cast of a movie and was told to wait and makes sure she is credited in the movie. Question is, is this the standard as many actors/actresses/extras have added themselves to the cast of this movie which is still currently filming.

Hi Loriquin,

It would help if you share the title URL.

Hi, loriquinn. The IMDb site authorities have marked this topic you've created as "acknowledged" with the topic type set to "problem". So, they are not immediately prepared to explain what be or not be the "standard" way that names are added to the IMDb cast listings for movie productions that have not yet wrapped. As I implied in the previous thread concerning your daughter's role in the particular unspecified movie; the corresponding filmmakers or some kind of likewise production company representative possibly created the page and possibly added most of the names to the cast listing there. You should seriously consider inquiring about the matter to the appropriate production company.

Hi loriquinn -
I'm not certain when/who told you to wait to submit your daughter's credit, did you send an e-mail through our Contact Form?   Can you provide some additional context as to why you were instructed to wait?  If you didn't know if she would be credited on-screen and your daughter does not yet have any listed credits, this may have been a reason why you were told to wait.  In the meantime, can you clarify if your daughter is already listed on IMDb and what title she worked on that you want to add her credit to?

I told her that, as a suggestion. She is more concerned about why the other credits are there but her daughter's credit is not. Nobody here can answer that, I'm afraid.

Hi loriqunn,

It is difficult for us to comment without further details. Submissions can be rejected for a number of reasons, all of our data is subject to editorial approval. Would you be able to supply some more information? Did you try to submit the credit and it was rejected? If so have you got the submission reference from your email and we can take a look?

Regards,
Will
